Iranian youth turn to Quran in post-revolution era: culture minister

TEHRAN -- Iranian culture minister here Monday said that the young generation has turned to the Holy Quran after the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Speaking at a ceremony to honor the Quran servants, Mohammad-Hossein Saffar Harandi added that the revolution was carried out in the name of the Quran and will continue its way through the Quranic guidelines.
He noted that the ninth government led by President Mahmud Ahmadinejad pays special attention to the Quran in all state affairs.
The minister blamed some Muslim countries for ignoring the Quranic doctrines in their political relations.
Ahmadinejad also attended the ceremony held on the sidelines of the 14th Holy Quran Exhibition in Imam Khomeini Mosalla.
Twenty-seven Quran servants from Iran and other countries were presented with honorary plaques in the fields of Quran printing, interpretation, and software.
